As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the various stakeholders including developers, operations and projects into one shared schedule that takes end goals, resources, and timelines into consideration. Your objective is to plan, schedule and control the continuous delivery of new changes to the production environment. Specifically, you own the Release lifecycle and its activities!
You will have great communication and coordination skills. In an enterprise, a release is compromised of a mix of vendors, business units, projects, testers, and developers that are geographically dispersed and you will work collaboratively with all participants. Besides managing the release lifecycle, you will also be responsible for reporting to various levels in the organisation from Business Units to the Chief Technology Officer.
