Moving from Support to Consultant
"I supported clients once they were live with AX, the team at the time were small with strong finance knowledge. I then underwent specialised training in various modules within Supply Chain and quickly establishing myself as the team's subject matter expert. I was then given the opportunity to further enhance my skills and I joined our in-house accelerator program, where I was given the consultant soft skills training.
When I completed this training, my aspirations grew and I wanted to engage more closely with our customers. I was eager to foster deeper connections and deliver solutions to our clients".
My First Project
"Right from the outset, I was put onto a project were I had to collaborate closely with another ISV partner. Within a few months, Columbus assumed full management, leading me to focusing on this full time.
The project stands out as being one if the most challenging ones I have done to date, spanning four and a half years. The client was a trading firm in a very niche industry, they required a number of bespoke customisations to accommodate their operational requirements".
Taking the Lead
"The real turning point for me in my career was when I was given a project for a customer who renown leaders in sustainable products, where I was given the task of becoming a stream lead with implementing their procurement system.
As the project progressed and my adherence to achieve the competencies in the career pathway frame work resulted in my promotion to Senior Consultant, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey".
The Biggest Challenge
"Moving from a Senior to a Principal Consultant was the most challenging, the competencies at this level are designed to stretch your capabilities beyond your zone of comfort. Despite the heightened expectations , the goals are still achievable with support and guidance every step of the way".
